What To Expect On The Bretton Woods Zip Line Tour

The Bretton Woods Zip Line Tour is a unique canopy tour experience in the heart of New Hampshire’s the White Mountains that provides visitors with a bird’s eye view of scenic Rosebrook Canyon.

The tour consists of nine cable zip lines and two adventure sky bridges poised above the forest floor. Each zip line varies in length, with a maximum span of 830 feet and 165 feet above the ground.

The Bretton Woods Zip Line Tour begins in the Base Lodge, where visitors will meet qualified guides who will accompany them throughout the entire trip. They will first have a detailed ground school orientation to discuss safety and equipment procedures. After being equipped with harnesses and helmets they will be transferred up to the mountain to the start of the tour.

The first zip lines are located in Rosebrook Canyon. During the time between the zips, guides will share interesting facts about the native New England flora and fauna. Guests will be educated in local geology and the long cultural history of New Hampshire’s White Mountain region.

The Bretton Woods Zip Line Tour is the ideal adventure. Nature lovers, bird watchers, and thrill seekers will all find something to excite them. Families, couples, corporate groups and groups of friends will find this adventure to be a one-of-a-kind experience they will never forget.

Anything lost on the tour cannot be retrieved.

What to Wear On The Bretton Woods Zip Line Summer Tour

Wear what you would for a hiking trip in the White Mountains. For cool weather, you may want to wear pants and a light jacket. A raincoat with a hood will be good for rainy and windy days. Shorts should have a 5-inch inseam, approximately mid-thigh, and tank tops are not recommended, for comfort reasons.

Because the course requires hiking on some short, rugged trails that link between zip lines, we recommend wearing hiking boots or sturdy sneakers. No open-toe footwear or sandals are allowed on the course.

Many people have a fear of heights and each person must determine whether the Canopy Tour is something they will enjoy. Some people who have a fear of heights still enjoy zip rides because there is always a sense of security. You will be double clipped into a 2-cable system at all times.

Their guides are true professionals and have gone through extensive training on safety and course management. They will help you through every step and provide you with the support you need to make this a fun and exciting experience.
